MOSCOW, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- The Russian stock market can open higher on Thursday as there are no significant geopolitical news and the external background looks positive, analysts said.
“Purchases can prevail at the opening of the Russian stock market thanks to the external background amid a lack of changes in the geopolitical agenda. The local market will try to recover from the previous day’s losses,” senior analyst at financial supermarket Banki.Ru Bogdan Zvarich said.
The MOEX Russia Index can reverse to fall below 2,500 if the global environment worsens, he added.
Alor Broker analyst Alexei Antonov agreed that the Russian market can edge up thanks to a steep rise of the Brent oil price breaking through the U.S. $108 per barrel mark.
The ruble will continue to consolidate, he added.
